Everyone’s heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But as a kid, you couldn’t pay me to eat breakfast—or rather, you couldn’t pay me to eat typical breakfast foods. Reheated spaghetti from last night’s dinner or a full Thanksgiving plate reheated the next morning, and I’m there!
Because my mom is allergic to eggs and my dad could happily eat grits, eggs, and sausage any time of the day, I never got into eating breakfast.
Then I became an adult… and still didn’t eat breakfast. But then I got into weightlifting, and anyone in weightlifting will tell you, eggs are a powerhouse!
Since I prefer to work out in the mornings before ingesting anything, getting adequate protein after a 5am workout left me with fewer options than I’d like. It started with six-egg omelets, then moved to fried eggs, and now my preferred way to eat eggs is in frittatas (recipe coming soon)! My friend Zoe can be blamed for my fixation with frittatas. With all the flavor combinations you can use to enhance the simple egg, the possibilities are endless.
Our new favorite way to eat eggs is by seasoning with our newest blend, Pryme Thyme! This herby and garlic-infused blend works well in egg dishes.
But eggs aren’t the only dish that gets the Tasty Tin upgrade!
You should know a party with me—even a breakfast party—MUST include a seafood dish! If you’ve spent any time in the southern part of the United States, you might have seen Shrimp & Grits or Fish & Grits on the menu.
