A simple way to enjoy the flavors of Tasty Tin & the sea!
Ingredients
- 8 oz fresh blue crab meat (special or claw)
- 1 cup uncooked rice, jasmine or basmati
- 2 cups chicken broth, divided
- ½ cup minced bell pepper, any color works
- ½ cup minced sweet onion
- 2 TBSP Tasty Tin® Garlic Dust, divided
- 1 TBSP butter
- 1 TBSP neutral oil, grapeseed or canola
- ⅛ tsp fresh thyme and Italian parsley, optional
Directions
In a dutch oven or deep pan with a tight fitting lid, heat oil and butter over medium heat.
Add onions, peppers, and 1 tbsp of Garlic Dust. Sauté until vegetables are translucent.
Add rice and mix to coat grains in the mixture.Add 1.5 cups of chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
Cover and reduce the heat to low. Cook until rice is done, approximately 15-20 minutes.
Turn off heat and gently stir in crabmeat, Garlic Dust and top with fresh herbs
Recipe Note
Use the extra chicken broth for reheating!
