This hot crab dip is one of my favorite things to bring out when people gather around the table. Rich crab, a little Garlic Dust, and herbs from Pryme Thyme come together in a dip that disappears faster than you expect.

Serve it bubbling hot with crackers or toasted bread and watch the bowl empty.

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella

  • 1 package cream cheese

  • ½ cup margarine

  • 1 ½ tsp Pryme Thyme

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 3 tbsp of Garlic Dust (divided)

  • 1 medium red pepper, finely chopped

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 12oz fresh picked lump blue crab meat

  1. Let margarine and cream cheese come to room temperature. It allows for easier blending.

  2. Preheat over to 425 degrees and butter a large oven proof dish

  3. In a large bowl, with a spoon, blend margarine and cream cheese together until well incorporated.

  4. Add in onions, peppers, Pryme Thyme, Italian seasoning, 1.5 tbsp garlic dust and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

  5. Combine thoroughly.

  6. Gently fold in crab meat.

  7. Transfer to buttered dish and top with remaining cheese. And sprinkle with remaining garlic dust.

  8. Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes or until the top is brown and bubbly.

  9. Let is rest for 5 minutes then serve with crackers or toasted Italian bread slices
