Kale Chips

DifficultyBeginner

While we've had kale chips baked, we found a recipe by MasterChef Junior season 1 contestant, Alexander. We much prefer the taste of them fried. Kale can be bitter this takes all of that out!

2 cups Kale, washed and cut into palm sized pieces
 1 qt oil
 2 tbsp flaky salt
 2 tbsp bbq seasoning

1

Heat oil in a pan or small dutch oven to 350°.

2

While oil is heating up, thoroughly wash and DRY the kale. We suggest using a salad spinner to make sure the leaves are dry

3

When oil is hot, but not smoking, carefully place 2-3 pieces of kale at a time, in the oil. Fry for 15-30 seconds each.

4

Remove from oil and drain on either a wire rack or paper towels.

5

Immediately season with salt and bbq seasoning, or any flavors you like. ENJOY
